Privacy policy

Crawdar searches public web pages to assemble business research results. The free product does not require an account.

Information we process

We process your search query, a keyed hash derived from your network address, source URLs, and basic usage information. If you send feedback, we store your useful or not useful response, optional message and email, and the current page and search brief so we can understand the report. If you request email delivery, save a private search, or activate monitoring, we store your email address, delivery status, saved query and results, and monitoring schedule. Shared searches store the result set and any notes, tags, hides, or reports collaborators submit. Referral records use keyed visitor identifiers to award bonuses and prevent self-referrals. If you join the waitlist, we store your name, email, signup source, and status. If you request a paid pilot, we store your name, work email, company, workflow description, source, and request status so we can confirm fit and deliver the service. If you request a done-for-you list preview, we store your name, email, optional company, requested company type, geography, qualification rules, source, and request status so we can prepare and deliver the preview. Search queries are sent to Brave Search API for public-web discovery. We do not store the raw network address in Crawdar's usage table and do not intentionally collect private account data from crawled sites.

How we use information

We use this information to run searches, restore saved lists, deliver requested results and monitoring updates, support shared review, award referral bonuses, prevent abuse, improve result quality, manage the beta waitlist, and maintain service security. Opening a private email link verifies access to that address and activates a requested weekly monitor. Joining the waitlist means agreeing to beta access and launch emails. Other product updates require the separate optional consent box. Search metadata may be retained for product analytics. If you allow measurement, Crawdar loads Google and Reddit advertising tags to measure visits, completed searches, shared searches, referral-link copies, and activated referrals. We do not send either provider your search text, results, name, or email. Your measurement choice is stored on your device and can be changed through the Privacy choices control. Public page contents are processed transiently and are not republished wholesale.

Review discovery beta

If you join the review discovery beta, we store your email, beta status, and the date and version of your agreement to receive beta access emails and feedback requests. Your address is self-reported and is not verified by signup. We use it to manage beta access and ask how Crawdar can improve, not to enroll you in unrelated marketing. A secure, essential browser cookie keeps beta access active for up to 180 days. It contains an access identifier, not your email. Beta access removes the daily review-scan cap while the beta is open; shared provider capacity limits still apply. You can request removal or stop beta emails at any time by contacting privacy@crawdar.com. Clearing the cookie removes access from that browser; you can enter your email again to join on another device.

Payments

Paid list orders and workflow pilots are provided by Eliott Reich Ventures. After you approve the preview or scope, we send a Stripe payment link. Stripe processes payment and billing information on its checkout page. Crawdar does not receive or store your full card number or security code. We use the order amount, payment status, payment email address, and transaction reference to match your payment to the agreed work, deliver the service, handle support and refunds, and maintain business records. Checkout and bank statements may display TaskBounty or Task Bounty, the payment account used by Eliott Reich Ventures. See Stripe's privacy policy for its processing practices.

Your choices

Anyone with a shared link can view its result set and reviews. Anyone with a private saved-search link can open that saved list, so keep private links confidential. You may ask us to stop a monitor, remove a result, correct a record, or delete associated search metadata by emailing privacy@crawdar.com.
